Four Year Old Logic

Matthew and I were in the car on our way to Sam’s after a stop at two different banks. For some reason, the first ATM I stopped at did not want to accept our deposit, so I had to drive to another location to make a deposit. I was lamenting this fact and the terrible traffic and rainy weather and complaining that I can’t get anything done when Matthew interjected in an exasperated tone, “Do you want me to drive?”

“What? No. Why would I want you to drive?”

“I don’t know. I don’t want me to drive. You should ask your dad.”

Huh?

  1. Of course, let Matthew drive. I can remember sitting in my dad’s lap behind the huge wheel of a 1950 Ford steering down the road. He worked the pedals and I steered. It was great fun and very dangerous, but who thought about that then.

Off the subject, do you think the week of June 28 – July 5 would work for a trip to the beacH??

  2. I can’t believe Papa drove a ford!!!!
