Black Throat, Part 2

Matthew woke up yesterday demanding to go on vacation. He also had a fever and a “froat.” (His word for a sore throat. Along the lines of “black throat.”) So I spent the day holding him, giving him Advil, and explaining that we can’t just go on vacation anytime we want. I was also very evil and forced him to take a nap.

He woke up this morning about 4 am with a 200 degree fever (alright, more like 104 degrees, but he was emitting a massive amount of heat!). After Advil and Tylenol, it finally started to go down about 5 am. He woke up in a good mood, and asked for ice cream for breakfast because of his froat. I gave in. He was so pathetic last night and too cute this morning. Hopefully this is just a viral thing and he’ll feel better tomorrow, but until then, I’ll be catering to him with Scooby Doo cartoons and ice cream.

  1. Tell Matthew that this time next week he will be on vacation on his way to Florida. I don’t think the pool will be ready. I have been pushing them but they don’t move very fast.
